So Is The Donald Sinking?

Not long ago, Donald Trump chastised Savannah Guthrie on TV for discussing the CNN poll which showed him down 7% from the previous month instead of the NBC on line poll that showed him still rising.  Trump's point was that NBC had paid for the on line poll and ought to talk about that one.  In the last few days, there have been a series of articles discussing how Trump is not falling in the polls.  Then today, we get the latest NBC/Wall Street Journal poll.  It puts Trump's support at 21% with Ben Carson at 20%.  Marco Rubio is next with 11% and is tied with Carly Fiorina at that same level.  Last time NBC/WSJ did a poll was two and a half months ago, and Trump was in the lead at 19%, so his numbers are "rising", surely the way Trump and his people will put it.  Of course, that is only half the story.  Most of the polls taken in late August had Trump all the way up in the low 30's, and he has now lost one third of that support.

It is going to be interesting to see where Trump's numbers go in the next months of polling.  My prediction is that his numbers will continue to fall.  Even more interesting will be the reaction of the media to these numbers.  Will they blast Trump or will they follow his line?
