The Pope is flying to the USA and president Obama has decided to go to Andrews to meet his plane. That's very unusual; presidents normally receive guests at the White House, not on the tarmac. Nevertheless, Obama could not resist getting into the photos of the pope's arrival. But what happens next? Obama is "running late". That's right, our president couldn't get to the air base in time to meet the plane. As a result, the pope's plane is ordered to circle until Obama actually gets into place.
It's funny in a way to see the coverage. The lefty publication, The Atlantic, says that the pope had to wait for "beltway traffic". Now I know that's a lie. I assume that the propaganda pushers at The Atlantic know that too. When the president goes to Andrews, he takes Marine One, the presidential helicopter. If he chooses to go by motorcade, the highways to and from Andrews are shut down so that the way is clear for his group. Traffic has nothing to do with the delay. Nope, that's all Obama!
I don't know about you, but if I were greeting the leader of the world's Catholics, I'd try to be on time. It's a sign of respect for the pope and his church. Obama is unbelievably rude. (By the way, if you doubt this, imagine the reaction from The Atlantic if president Trump had done the same thing in the future.)
