The next Republican candidate who needs to withdraw from the presidential race is senator Lindsay Graham of South Carolina. Here is a man who is polling at either 0 or 1 percent in all the national polls (mostly 0). His big campaign position is that America needs to send troops to the Middle East to take on ISIS and the other terrorists. He never offers specifics, saying that to do so would give the enemy an advantage. Graham, however, is always ready to jump upon whatever bandwagon the mainstream media is trying to stir up against another GOP candidate.
The latest example of Graham piling on is his response to the remarks by Ben Carson that he would not favor electing a Moslem president. Supposedly, Graham was outraged by that comment? Give me a break! Graham is just looking for a cheap shot at Carson in the hopes of getting some free media that could resurrect his moribund effort. Think about it. Graham's hero seems to be John McCain. The two have been joined at the hip for the last decade or so. Remember what McCain had to say about electing a Moslem president? If you don't, let me remind you that in 2007, while he was running for president, McCain was asked if he would be comfortable with a Moslem as president and his response was that he did not think that a Moslem ought to be our leader. After all, McCain pointed out, America was founded as a Christian nation and ought to remain one. Graham's comment at the time was silence. In fact, there was essentially no comment from the media at the time. Now Carson says essentially the same thing and the left is going crazy.
It really is time for Lindsay Graham to get out. If the only hope he has is to say things that unnecessarily attack other candidates, then he should realize that he is past his expiration date.
