The Hillary SuperPAC Continues Its Work

Last night, senator Marco Rubio called the mainstream media "Hillary Clinton's superPAC".  Rubio's point was that no matter what happened, the mainstream media would spin it in a way to give Clinton and the Democrats an advantage.  I was struck today just how accurate Rubio was while I was reading the report in Daily Variety on the ratings for the debate on CNBC.  Daily Variety is a combination of Hollywood and the mainstream media, so it is totally in the can for Hillary.  Nevertheless, I was still shocked at the spin put on the debate ratings.  Let me explain:

Variety reported that the audience for the GOP debate was 14 million people on average.  Variety then discussed how that was down substantially from the first two GOP debates.  No mention was made, however, of the fact that game 2 of the World Series was being shown on another network.  There aren't many news shows that could hold their own against the World Series.  Daily Variety however was silent and portrayed the fall off in viewership as if people were just tiring of the GOP debates.

On top of that, the reporter at Variety mentioned that the CNBC moderators had been criticized for their questions and then set forth a long list of the items brought up by those moderators.  None of the criticism was repeated.  The lame excuse by CNBC management, however, was set forth verbatim.

The truth is that the third GOP debate which was shown on a network that most people have never ever watched and which was up against the World Series drew roughly the same audience as the first (and only) Democrat debate on CNN.  If ratings are any indication of enthusiasm, the Democrats have a big problem.
