The End Is Near For Hillary

Today, the chairman of the House Select Committee on Benghazi (Trey Gowdy) sent a letter to the ranking Democrat on the committee in which he responded to charges by that representative that the hearings were political in nature.  The letter is 13 pages long and it contains some of the most important information uncovered since the Benghazi committee uncovered the fact that Hillary Clinton had a private unsecured email system that she improperly used for all her correspondence.  I don't want to rehash the past, so I will stick to the new items in the letter.

1.  Half of all of Hillary Clinton's communications about Libya prior to the Benghazi attack were with Sidney Blumenthal.  Blumenthal was barred by the White House from being hired at the State Department, but Hillary just put him on the payroll at the Clinton Foundation instead.

2.  Blumenthal argued to Hillary that expanding the war in Libya was necessary to raise president Obama's poll numbers and to make Hillary look like a leader.  The argument was not about how such a move would help America, only how it would help Obama and Hillary politically.  Hillary's response indicated that she agreed with the argument.

3.  Blumenthal wanted Hillary's help in getting a company he represented security contracts with the Libyan rebels.  Instead of telling Blumenthal to get lost because his request was improper, Hillary just went ahead with it.

4.  Blumenthal furnished Hillary with information that he says is classified in some email.  So much for Hillary's claim that she never sent or received information identified as classified.

In the past, Hillary said that she never solicited any of the email from Blumenthal but that he was an old friend who wrote to her on occasion.  The email released today with the letter make clear that Hillary repeatedly asked Blumenthal for his views.  It's just another lie by Hillary.

All of the email released today is new stuff that has never been seen before.  None of it was given to the committee by the State Department before Blumenthal was interviewed.  They tried to bury it instead.

So we have Hillary Clinton relying for her main advice on Libya on a man who was banned from the State Department by the president.  The advice she followed was to take action on the basis of what would help the administration and her politically, not what would be good for America.  Worst of all, Hillary was asked for help to get profitable contracts for Blumenthal's company, and rather than rejecting that request as improper, she just went ahead with it.

This is amazing stuff, but there's one last thing that needs to be discussed here.  I just checked the websites of ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC and CNN.  Not a single one of them has a story or even a mention of Gowdy's letter and the new emails released today.  Fox News covers the story, but it is the only one who does.  Meanwhile, Ben Carson said that he would have tried to rush the shooter in Oregon had he been there.  Every one of the media outlets listed above covered that "big" story.  Every one!

The story will get out because when Hillary testifies before the committee in two weeks, all these items will be the subject of questions.  There will be no way that the media can bury the story then.  In the meantime, Democrats must be terrified knowing what it coming and having no way to stop it.  In all likelihood, this is a story that ends with the indictment rather than the inauguration of Hillary Clinton.
