Another Update From Syria

Yesterday, I wrote about the 45,000 Kurdish refugees who had fled across the border between Syria and Turkey as the ISIS forces closed in on Ayn al Arab.  Here are two updates that you need to know in order to fully understand the situation:

1.  There have been no American air strikes against the massed ISIS forces in the area.  None are expected.  Despite president Obama's supposed approval of strikes in Syria, and despite the presence of a particularly target rich environment among the ISIS troop concentrations, the USA is doing nothing.

2.  The United Nations released an updated estimate of the refugees who have fled into Turkey since Friday ahead of the ISIS attack.  The number is no longer 45,000.  It is not 70,000 refugees.

There is no way that 70,000 people can be housed, fed and given water in the middle of nowhere at the Syrian/Turkish border.  This is a major humanitarian disaster as our friends, the Kurds, are driven from their homes by the terrorist thugs.
