There's A Speech Tonight, but Then......

So president Obama is giving a short speech tonight in which he will make clear to the nation (hopefully) that he now recognizes that ISIS is a threat to American national interests and to the safety of our people.  We know from polling that the public already understands this, but it will be nice to know that Obama finally sees it too.  But the speech will be over by about 9:15 PM Eastern time.  What then?

Tomorrow is the 13th anniversary of the 9-11 attacks.  What will happen?

Will one or more of the commercial airliners captured by the terrorists at the Tripoli airport suddenly appear overhead so that they can fly into locations of major importance?

Will armed terrorists who came into the USA across our almost undefended southern border start shooting up malls (like they did in Kenya) or hotels (like they did in Mumbai)?

Will trains, subways or buses be hit with bombs in packages left on board during the morning rush hour (like they did in Spain and Britain)?

Will some sort of chemical or biological weapons captured by the terrorists in Syria be released to spread havoc across the land?

Will some terror group decide to try to take out the electrical system by hitting key points in the national grid?  According to testimony before Congress that sort of attack would not be too difficult to pull off.

Will one or more of our embassies or bases around the world be hit with mortars, bombs or other forms of attack?  That was the method chosen two years ago on 9-11 in Benghazi, Libya.

The real question of the moment is what has president Obama and his people done to prevent any of these things from happening.  I don't mean what sort of speeches have been given or talking points distributed.  What have Obama and the Obamacrats actually done?  I have to say that it worries me that they have not done enough.  I watch the pathetic non-response to ISIS that dragged on for almost a year before Obama took action and I worry that it will take a disaster before Obama will act on these other fronts.

I sincerely hope I am wrong.  I really do.  Let's all say a prayer tonight for safety for all people (but especially Americans) against terrorism tomorrow (and every day.)
