Update -- What Are They Waiting For?

Earlier today, I wrote about the urgent need for American air strikes against ISIS forces massed west of Ayn al Arab, a Kurdish city in northern Syria adjacent to the border with Turkey.  Well, there are still no air strikes by US or any other forces.  There have, however, been some refugees fleeing across the border into Turkey from the threatened city.  In the last 24 hours, according to the BBC, roughly

45,000 refugees
have fled into Turkey.  Just imagine that.  The Turks have received

45,000 refugees
in the space of 24 hours, and they now have to find housing, food, water and clothing for refugees who have little more than the clothes on their backs.

If president Obama meant any of the things that he has said in the last two weeks about ISIS and the need to destroy that cancer, then he needs to start taking action now.  Doing nothing is not a viable option.

We cannot simply close our eyes to these events.  I just checked CBS, NBC, ABC, Fox News, CNN and the New York Times web sites.  The only one that mentions these events in Syria is NBC News.  We are about to witness another major victory for ISIS and a mass slaughter of innocents by these terrorists and the media does not even notice.
