I could not let the day go by without commenting on the so called People's Climate March underway in New York City. What a waste of time. This is not even a march that is really about global warming; it is a march to push leftist ideas that is pretending to be about the climate. Why must these things be so dishonest?
A rational climate change march would be demanding a realistic assessment of the data that we have. Why is it that global atmospheric temperatures have not risen for 17 years? At the moment, there are more than 50 proposed causes for the pause in rising temperatures, but none of the proposals have gained much support. So we have an original theory which is that carbon dioxide has increased with a resulting greenhouse effect which raises global temperature. That original theory conflicts clearly with the actual data gathered which shows no temperature rise despite rising levels of carbon dioxide. No one can explain how, if the theory is correct, the temperatures have stopped rising. In other words, the data disproves the theory. In actual science, that means that the theory is WRONG. People ought to be demanding that all the "cures" for global warming stop unless and until there is actual proof that global warming really exists and that it is caused by increased carbon dioxide emissions. Remember the world is spending hundreds of billions of dollars on these supposed cures.
There are so many different things that could benefit from transferring the spending on the cures for global warming to actual needs of humanity. A march in which the participants actually cared about people would demand such a transfer. Instead we get the triumph of propaganda over reality.
