The United Stated Department of State issued a press release today announcing that Secretary John Kerry will focus on Climate Change this week at the United Nations. I am not kidding. Kerry's focus this week during the meetings in New York will be CLIMATE CHANGE.
I don't care if you believe that climate change is real or a fraud. I don't care if you believe that climate change is due to the activity of mankind or not. No matter what you think on these issues, you have to agree that Kerry's devoting his efforts this week to dealing with climate change is idiotic.
Supposedly, this week in New York was to be the focus for the Obama administration to put together a coalition of nations which will act against ISIS in Iraq and Syria. Despite all the announcements from Washington, there is no coalition of that sort as of yet. President Obama's policy for dealing with ISIS is in danger of imploding before it even has had a chance to be tested. I remember the old recruiting slogan for the military which was "An Army of One", but no one will want to join "A Coalition of None".
Sometimes I wonder if the people employed in Washington to deal with the media actually understand what it is that they are saying. Are folks like Josh Earnest and Jen Psaki the human equivalent of those chimpanzees using typewriters who come up with Shakespeare by accident? Do these people hear just how silly they sound? I find it hard to believe that they do.
