A Rosie is a Rosie is a Rosie

Rosie O'Donnell is back as one of the hosts of The View.  It makes no difference to me since I have never watched that show even one time.  I just find it appalling that the producers of the show thought that it made sense to bring O'Donnell back after she was dumped some years back.

On one of her first new shows, O'Donnell criticized the US airstrikes against ISIS in Syria on the grounds that the action was motivated by Syria's oil reserves.  Think about that.  Syria is one of the few countries in the Middle East that does NOT have significant oil reserves.  It has some oil but Iraq, where ISIS is also attacking, has something like fifty times more oil production even after years of fighting in that country.  So for Rosie, this is strike one.  Then you have to realize that the USA is not trying to gain control of any portion of Syria with the air campaign.  Such control would require the dreaded "boots on the ground", which we all know we don't have (except maybe for Rosie.)  So that's strike two for Rosie.  Next comes the news that American planes have been attacking oil production facilities controlled by ISIS.  That is the complete opposite of trying to gain control of those facilities.  That's strike three, Rosie.

The sad thing is that this loud mouth is going to sit on national TV and tell outrageous lies about America and its goals in Syria.  She is literally spouting anti-American propaganda.  Why should she get a platform from which to spew this stuff?

It really is time for Rosie to go back into retirement.
