A Few Things To Remembr About Planned Parenthood

The videos which show senior officials of Planned Parenthood negotiating prices forth sale of body parts of aborted babies have caused quite a storm in parts of the country.  In all the uproar, however, there are a few things that ought to be kept in focus.

1.  Planned Parenthood does not deny that it sells body parts from the remains of aborted fetuses.  The Planned Parenthood statements have apologized the tone of what their first official said on the video and have disputed claims that selling the body parts was illegal.  The organization, however, never disputes that it is selling body parts.

2.  Many in the country have no interest in this story because they have not heard of it.  There has not been a media blackout of the story, but much of the coverage has been about an attempted smear of Planned Parenthood by some right wing organization.  Of course, this is nonsense.  Video is video.

3.  There has been little focus on the fact that the body parts being discussed have to come, for the most part, from late term abortions.  Whether or not it is legal to sell fetal body parts, it is not legal to perform late term abortions except in certain rare circumstances.  The mother has about five months to decide whether or not to get an abortion.  After that, the rights of the baby come into play.

4.  There is almost no mention that nearly all the body parts in question are coming from African American babies.  If, as we are now told all the time, black lives matter, why is there no focus on the deaths of so many black babies.  Abortion rates among African Americans are much higher than among other racial and ethnic groups.  In certain parts of the country, more than two thirds of all pregnancies of black women end in abortion.  Most people don't know it, but Planned Parenthood was founded long ago by Margaret Sanger with the expressed goal of reducing the birth of "undesirable" children who she defined, in particular, as blacks, Asians, and Jews.  Sanger called these children "human weeds" who needed to be pulled out.  Her goal for Planned Parenthood was to promote racial purity.  Why is this never mentioned?  And while we are on the topic of things that are never mentioned, why is it that no one covers the fact that Hillary Clinton has spoken repeatedly about how she greatly admires Margaret Sanger, a woman with such hateful racial views?
