The Hillary Clinton Emails Just Released

The first three thousand of Hillary Clinton's emails have been released by the State Department.  Since the court order mandated their release prior to the end of June, the email were made available at 9 p.m. last night.  It takes hours to read through them all, but certain things are clear once you read just a portion.

1.  Some of the emails have been edited on the grounds that they are classified.  That means that the prior claims by Hillary Clinton that none of the emails on her server were classified was false.  There is talk that the email was not classified when sent but that it was later classified when the State Department finally got to see the documents.  That really does not matter.  The point is that information which is TODAY deemed sensitive enough to be withheld on national security grounds was sitting on Hillary's server where the Russians and Chinese could easily hack in to get it.

It's also worth noting that the editing that was done seems haphazard to say the least.  A good example of this is one from July 11, 2009.  It comes from "Jimmy _________".  The last name of the sender is removed.  Of course, if you read the email you find that the author says that he will go to Korea as a representative of the Carter Center and then he puts his initials (JC) at the end of the short email.  It does not take a genius to realize that this email came from former president Jimmy Carter.  So why did the geniuses at the State Department take out the name Carter and make that classified?

2.  Hillary doesn't have much to say.  Almost all of her emails are about scheduling or simple needs like getting a glass of iced tea.  If there's any insight she brought to the job of Secretary of State, it certainly is not manifested in the emails.

3.  Hillary is living in the past.  By now, you probably have heard about the long series of emails in which Huma Abedin tries to help Hillary learn how to use a fax machine.  If this were happening in 1975, it might make sense, but thirty years later only a true dinosaur doesn't know how to use a fax.

4.  All sorts of people at the White House knew that Hillary had a private email server.  There are even email from White House reps asking Hillary for her email address.  Then there are email from people like David Axelrod directly to Hillary at her private email address.  Axelrod, of course, said not long ago that he never, NEVER knew that Hillary had a private email address.  It's just another lie coming from the Obama White House.

5.  Hillary sometimes seems bewildered.  There's a great email in which Hillary says that she heard on the radio that morning that there was going to be a cabinet meeting at the White House that day and then she actually asks if she can go.  It turns out that there was no meeting.  There are also at least two times that Hillary showed up at the White House for a meeting when none took place.

6.  There are no accomplishments by Hillary that come through from these emails.  Her time at the State Department still seems devoid of accomplishments.
