Aren't Pundits Supposed To Know Something?

There's an article in the National Journal that's under the headline "Hillary Clinton's White Male Voter Problem".  It's a real howler.  The columnist, someone named S.V.Date, is so out of touch with reality that I wonder if he or she knows anything.  Let me give you an example.  The author cites polling in New Hampshire that shows that Hillary is tied in that state among men with Bernie Sanders in the Democrat primary; she is, however, way ahead of Sanders among women.  Then comes the explanation offered by S.V.Date:  "while Latino and black men tend to be firmly in the Democratic fold, white men are typically more conservative and Republican in ideology."  Think about that.  White men are more conservative and Republican than blacks and Hispanic men.  So why are these Republican men voting in a Democrat primary?  They are not; they are Republicans.  And why are the conservative men backing the Socialist Bernie Sanders?  It is not because Sanders is more conservative than Hillary; he isn't.  In other words, the explanation offered in the article is not just incorrect; it is obviously and extremely incorrect.  But that is not the end of it.  The article goes on to say that male dislike of Clinton "does not come from a good place."  Get that?  If men don't like Hillary because she is dishonest and does not care about ordinary people, that is just an excuse for sexism.  They don't like her because she is a strong woman according to the author.  In other words, S.V.Date announces that poor Hillary is a victim of sexism.

The reality in America is that if Hillary loses, it won't be because of sexism.  Hillary will have done herself in.  She is the one who lied repeatedly.  She is the one who broke federal law and put national security at risk so that she could control her own email.  She is the one without accomplishments after being a senator, secretary of state and the wife of the president.  She is the one who won't even answer questions unless they are approved in advance.  It's not sexism; the American people just don't want a crook in the White House.
