Did you know that Donald Trump's attacks on John McCain last Saturday had no impact on Trump's standing in the Iowa polls? I only know this because the Monmouth polling organization announced that it saw no difference in the percentage of folks favoring Trump in its latest poll when it compared those who responded prior to Trump's attack and those who responded after the attack. Now, the media is busy reporting how the attacks did not damage Trump in any way.
This is all idiocy. Monmouth compared the results it got on Friday with those it got on Saturday and Sunday. Without a doubt, nearly all of those polled on Saturday had not heard about what Trump said when they were answering the pollster's questions. There is no way that Trump's remarks could have changed the views of people who had yet to hear of them. Most likely, the people who responded on Sunday also had not heard of Trump's remarks.
Why do they waste our time with this nonsense?
