Debbie Wasserman Schultz is a congressman from Florida and the chair of the Democrat National Committee. She went ballistic today in response to criticism by Mike Huckabee of the agreement that president Obama signed with Iran. Huckabee said that the deal was idiotic and gave away the store. He also pointed out that the Iran agreement puts Israel at great risk. As Huckabee put it, Obama and the others who signed the deal "marched Israel to the door of the ovens." It is a strong image of the Nazi holocaust, but given the effect that Iranian nuclear weapons could have on Israel, it is not wrong. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, however, thinks that Huckabee went beyond the pale. She claims that he owes an apology to the American Jewish community.
Now I know that Debbie is not known for her logical mind or her honesty. Nevertheless, when Huckabee warns that the worlds only Jewish state is threatened with destruction due to the Iran deal, it hardly seems sensible that the statement would be cause for an apology. A thank you sounds more like it.
One thing is certain, if they ever do a film called "Debbie Does Dumb", we already got the star.
