Over the weekend, Bernie Sanders appeared on CNN's Sunday morning show "State of the Union". Since no one watches that show, it's worth mentioning what he had to say. Here was the big statement from the senator that came out of his interview:
“Yes, we have to raise individual tax rates substantially higher than they are today, because almost all of the new income is going to the top 1 percent.”
So Sanders is running as the candidate who will raise taxes. Previously, he told us that he would increase spending too.
Sander's plan is to fight income inequality by making everyone poor. Only the government will have money, but that won't last. Before too long he would turn the USA in "Greece, West." Then we can all go down the tubes together.
