New Meaning For "Rope a Dope"

I keep seeing stories in the media about how the Clinton campaign roped off the reporters trying to cover Hillary at a Fourth of July parade in New Hampshire.  It's a ridiculous story.  Who cares if the reporters were kept behind ropes?  Anyone who pays attention already knows that Hillary won't speak to reporters except on a few carefully-controlled moments.  Remember, Hillary has been an announced candidate for about four months and she is just about to do her first media interview with a friend of hers from CNN.  The truth is that the reporters who were put behind the rope line ought to have turned around and left.  Imagine what the Clinton campaign would say and do if all the reporters just refused to cover the self appointed empress unless she answered questions like a normal candidate.  The reporters are idiots for staying and complaining.  The reality is that this gives a whole new meaning to Muhammed Ali's old "rope-a-dope" move.
