A Question Worth Answering

Which candidate for president in 2016 said recently that  "the endless flow of secret, unaccountable money" must be stopped?  Hint:  it's the same candidate whose campaign took millions of dollars from unnamed sources in the next two weeks.  That's right, it's Hillary Clinton.

In a very interesting article, the AP reports how Clinton keeps talking about stopping acceptance of money from unidentified sources while simultaneously taking millions herself.  As the article shows, the AP tried tracing back the cash which went through a superPAC, a non-profit and several shell corporations to get to the Clinton campaign effort.

We can only wonder where the cash came from.  Is this more money from foreign donors?  That would be illegal since no campaign can accept donations from foreigners.  But we don't know.  Is the cash coming from the drug cartels?  How about from the Koch brothers?  Could it be money from the Clinton Foundation?  Each one of these possibilities would tell us something important about Hillary and the debts she will owe if she is elected president.  But we don't know.

The defense from the Clinton camp is that they are "following the rules".  It's a very weak defense.  It's roughly the same as if Hillary were to campaign against global warming, particularly the continued use of coal fired power plants only for us to find out that she and Bill were buying those plants up at depressed prices.  Hey, it would still be "following the rules."

I wonder how soon it will be before the word hypocrite gets changed to "Hillpocrite".
