Things have reached the point for Hillary Clinton where it's just getting sad. Nothing could drive that point home more than Hillary's recent repetition of her claim that she neither sent nor received classified material on her private unsecured email system. Hillary first made that claim last March at her UN press conference. Since no one had seen any of her email at that point, there was no way to disprove her claim. And it's a very important claim since sending or holding classified information on an unsecured personal computer system is a federal crime.
In recent weeks, we learned from the non-partisan Inspectors General of the State Department and of the Intelligence Agencies that Hillary not only had email containing classified information, but also that some of that email had Top Secret information of the highest rank. At first it was just four emails but then the number grew. We now have over 100 emails with classified information in just the first few thousand that have been reviewed. If the rate of classified emails stays the same as the remainder is reviewed, there will be over 1000 of this sort of email illegally stored on Hillary's private unsecured server.
It is in the context of the announcement by non-partisan inspectors that there are huge numbers of classified email improperly stored on Hillary's private unsecured server, that Hillary repeated her claim that she never sent or received classified information. As I said, it's just getting sad.
The real question is whether or not the Justice Department will indict Hillary, not whether it will affect her politically. I know this. Most of the media knows this. It seems that the only one who does not recognize reality here is Hillary herself.
But wait, we may soon see investigations into the use by the Clinton foundation of all that cash it raised. So far, we know that a great many Clinton campaign operatives were kept on the payroll of the foundation for years while Hillary waited for the 2016 campaign. Should a campaign operative really get paid $400,000 to run an office for the foundation? That was one office, not the entire foundation. Remember over 80% of the expenditures by the Clinton Foundation were for staff and administrative expenses. There were even millions spent just for travel by Bill and Hillary. The reality is that the Clinton Foundation looks more like a slush fund for the Clintons than a charity. If that gets investigated we may soon see another front opened in Hillary's problems with the law.
It really is time for her to drop out of the campaign. Right now, all the Hillary is accomplishing is to make herself look foolish.
