For the last few months, America has been hit with wave after wave of cyber attacks from China. President Obama has decided not to even name the Chinese as the culprits. He also appears to have done nothing in response. Today we also learned that the Russians have now gotten into the game. The Kremlin hacked into the Pentagon email system and basically grabbed up all the data there. At least it was the non-classified system, but that is small comfort.
The problem we face is that with the data taken by both China and Russia, those nations have the ability to get into our most secure systems. In the event of actual conflict, the American defense and our economy will be open to devastating attacks on the internet by our enemies.
How can it be that our government does not care about this potential catastrophe. Obama may want to avoid war; I get that. Opening the door to disaster, however, INVITES attack. Obama's ideologically based delusions will not protect us. We need a new president who will get the job done!
