Here's a quote from an article in Politico today about the possibility of resolving the Syrian Civil War:
Obama views Assad as a brutal tyrant and has called for his exit from power. But he also fears that Assad’s sudden fall could produce the kind of anarchy seen in Libya after the fall of Muammar Gaddafi.
There you have it. Obama fears that if Assad falls, there might be disorder, even anarchy, in Syria. This is supposedly the view of Barack Obama.
Think about it. In the last few years, a quarter of a million people have been killed in civil war in Syria, many more have been wounded, and ten million have become refugees. But Obama is worried that there might be disorder or anarchy? Is he kidding? Does he understand what has happened in Syria during the last four years? Does he even know where Syria is?
I hope that this is just a report from a moronic reporter for Politico who does not understand the actual view of the White House. Unfortunately, given the foreign policy of the last few years, I worry that this nonsense is the actual view of president Obama.
