There's a Quinnipiac poll out today that many pundits are talking about. One stat, however, that seems to be ignored is that among Independents, Hillary is rated as NOT trustworthy or honest by 69% of the respondents. It is a standard talking point for political pundits that the Independents are the ones who determine the winner in national elections. That is usually the case, but not always. Nevertheless, the idea that the likely Democrat nominee is viewed as dishonest by 7 out of ten Independents ought to be causing panic right now at the DNC. For what it is worth, those same Independents say that Hillary does not care about the needs or wants of people like them by a margin of 3 to 2.
Perhaps the best way to put this is that Hillary has no where to go but down. Voters who think she is dishonest and doesn't care about them are not going to pay much attention to what she has to say.
Let's hope the Democrats nominate Mrs. Clinton.
