Linda McMahon was confirmed by the Senate as head of the Small Business Administration today by a vote of 81 to 19. It was an overwhelming confirmation for Mrs. McMahon, but it still showed just how ridiculously strident the Democrats have become. If you are not familiar with Linda McMahon, she founded the WWE along with her husband Vince McMahon. They built the wrestling empire into a major business. Linda became involved in politics and she ran twice for the senate in Connecticut. She lost close races to senators Blumenthal and Murphy.
The key to today's vote is that both Blumenthal and Murphy voted to confirm Linda McMahon. That means that two Democrat senators who know the nominee better than any other senator supported her. Even with that support, there were still 19 Democrats who just couldn't bring themselves to vote for a Trump nominee. It's truly disgusting. Can't these senators ever put politics aside and try to get on with the work that the country needs? I guess the answer is a clear NO.
