What Would Obama Have Done?

In a display of partisan politics, eleven Democrat senators are calling for the appointment of a special prosecutor to investigate any ties between Russia and the Trump White House.  It's pretty funny since there is no evidence of any improper contacts or communications between the two.  It's like those recounts that Jill Stein and Hillary wanted in Wisconsin and other states.  There was no evidence of any error in counting the votes, but they wanted the recount because they didn't like the result.  By the way, they want a special prosecutor because they say that Jeff Sessions and the Department of Justice couldn't possibly be impartial in such an investigation.

So should President Trump agree to the appointment of a special prosecutor?  I started wondering what president Obama would have done in a similar situation.  Here's what I came up with:

1.  Obama would have said that there isn't even a smidgeon of corruption or misconduct and not appointed a special prosecutor.

2.  Obama would have had Attorney General Loretta Lynch bump into Vladimir Putin by accident when they were both on the tarmac of the Moscow airport at the same time.  The two could have discussed golf and grandchildren and how to arrange things to make sure that any investigation went away.

3.  Obama would have told the country that those calling for the investigation really wanted to incite a war with Russia and announced that there would be no special prosecutor in the interest of world peace.  No doubt, the mainstream media would have applauded.
