Another ISIS Crisis

Over night in Philadelphia, a policeman was attacked and shot by a man who rushed the police car and opened fire.  Thankfully, the policeman was just moderately injured and should be fine after treatment.  The gunman was shot by the policeman after opening fire and was subsequently captured by other police.  Now we learn from the Commissioner of Police in Philadelphia that the shooter is a Moslem who swears allegiance to ISIS and who attacked the policeman "in the name of Islam".  According to the AP report, the shooter told police that he attacked because "police defend laws that are contrary to Islam."

There are a few points that need to be mentioned.

1.  Let's thank God that the policeman was only injured and not killed.  We can all pray for his speedy recovery as well.

2.  This is the latest in a series of attacks here at home that have been inspired or directed by ISIS.  No doubt president Obama will use this attack like the others to promote gun control even though none of the proposals regarding guns would have prevented this attack.

3.  Once again, the ISIS inspired attacker is a devout Moslem.  In all these terrorist attacks or attempted terrorist attacks, we have yet to find any Christians, Jews or atheists involved with these crimes.  Next time someone tells you that monitoring the Islamic community in particular to find potential terrorists is "Islamophobic", remind him or her of this fact.

4.  Finally, during all of the Bush administration following 9-11, there was not a single successful terrorist attack in the USA.  There were attempts, but they were all thwarted.  Under Obama there has been a whole series of attacks.  It is just another manifestation of the incompetence of the Obama administration.
