Barack's BFF's

It's worth taking a moment to think about a story in today's news.  Iran is denouncing Saudi Arabia for air strikes on the Iranian embassy in Sanaa, the capital of Yemen.  As anyone who follows the events of the Middle East knows, it was just earlier this week when mobs of "spontaneous" protesters broke into the Saudi embassy in Teheran and burned it to the ground.  That move has gained Iran international condemnation.  At least five other Sunni countries have joined the Saudis in breaking diplomatic relations with Iran as a result of the sacking of the embassy.  Now Iran is basically claiming that the Saudis have engaged in a retaliatory strike on the Iranian embassy in Yemen.

Here's the problem, however.  Reporters in Yemen say that there is no observable damage to the Iranian embassy that was supposedly bombed by the Saudi air force.  It seems likely that the Iranians are just making up the claim that their embassy was bombed.

Remember that Iran is the country that president Obama thinks should be America's new best friend in the region.  Obama has thrown over the Saudis and the Israelis and the other nations that have been our allies for decades.  Instead we have our wonderful nuclear agreement with Iran that gives the Iranians a path to the bomb while rewarding them with about $150 billion.  We also have the Iranian troops in Iraq exercising a great deal of control over the Baghdad government.

How did we ever get a president who thinks that these liars from Teheran can be trusted?
