Do you remember Melissa Click? She's the professor at the University of Missouri who was caught on video last fall telling a reporter that he could not ask questions of the protesters on campus. On the video she calls for "some muscle" to help remove the reporter.
Once Click's anti-free speech tirade was released on video, it went viral and she eventually apologized. Now, however, Click has been indicted for assault under Missouri law for her part in the episode. Her title of "professor" (which was apparently honorary) was taken away from her by her department at Mizzou, but Click remains an employee of the people of the state.
There is no mystery what happened at that protest. Click is on video calling for enforcers to throw the reporter off the protest site. It certainly looks like an assault under Missouri law, but there will need to be a trial and a jury to decide that finally. Personally, I'm rooting for a result that reaffirms the right of every American to freedom of speech and which condemns any actions by the radical left to use totalitarian enforcement measures to limit speech.
