Hillary Clinton is famous for not telling the truth. She is also known in this campaign as someone who doesn't put herself in the position to answer tough questions. Even when she takes questions, she essentially never faces someone who might ask an unfriendly question. Nevertheless, there are a number of issues that Hillary has ducked and which the media should press her on. Here are just a few:
1. Right now in Chicago, the is a big movement calling on mayor Rahm Emanuel to resign for what appears to be covering up the video showing a policeman shooting down a young black man who, although holding a knife, appeared to present no threat to the officer. Once the video became public, the officer was quickly indicted. Does Hillary agree that Emanuel should resign?
Note: Hillary will no doubt say that this is just a local issue, but that has not stopped her in the past from getting involved. Look at Ferguson and Baltimore as examples. Emanuel, however, has much greater national importance as he was chief of staff for president Obama for most of his first term. He is also a prominent supporter of Hillary for president.
2. When the bodies of the men who were murdered in the terror attack in Benghazi were returned to the USA a few days later, Hillary told the families of those victims that the cause of the attack had been a youtube video and that the guy who created the video would be punished. At least that is what multiple family members have said in public on many occasions. Recently, Hillary has started to deny ever having said this. She should be asked if that means that the family members are telling lies.
3. Hillary has taken more cash from Wall Street than any other candidate, yet she often rails against the Wall Street banks and threatens to break them up. Many see this as a way to blunt the message of Bernie Sanders. She already has said that she gets all these contributions because Wall Street remembers all the good she did for them after 9-11. Even though that is a ridiculous answer, it only covers part of the issue. Hillary should be asked not why Wall Street gives her so much cash, but rather why she accepts it if it is so tainted by coming from evil Wall Street Banks.
