I keep writing about the lies that spew from Hillary Clinton and her campaign, and, I confess, I still am amazed sometimes at the incredible dishonesty of Mrs. Clinton and her staff. Today is one of those times. Yesterday, we learned that the Inspector General of the Intelligence Agencies informed Congress that there was ultra secret information on Hillary's private unsecured email system. The level of secrecy of the information was so high, that the Inspector General himself had to get a special security clearance just to be able to read about the details. It's the kind of information which, in our adversaries hands, would cause the death of American agents or at least the destruction of ongoing intelligence activities that are of extreme importance to our security. It's also the kind of information which Hillary Clinton would necessarily have recognized as ultra secret. So, we have a member of the Obama administration informing Congress (both Republicans and Democrats) of what was found.
So how did Hillary respond? First of all, Hillary herself said nothing about it. Instead, she had her campaign staff tell this to her friends at Politico:
"This is the same interagency dispute that has been playing out for months, and it does not change the fact that these emails were not classified at the time they were sent or received" said Clinton Campaign Spokesman Brian Fallon. "It is alarming that the intelligence community IG, working with Republicans in Congress, continues to selectively leak materials in order to resurface the same allegations and try to hurt Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign. The Justice Department's inquiry should be allowed to proceed without any further interference."
Think about that. We know that Hillary's email system was hacked by more than one foreign intelligence agency. That means that the extremely sensitive got into the hands of the Russians, Chinese, Iranians or whichever agencies hacked her server. Most likely people died as a result, but only those in the CIA or NSA or other US agencies know for certain. And Hillary's response? She calls it a political stunt. (Can you say "vast rightwing conspiracy"?)
Even for the Clintons, this is low. The lies just never end.
