Is An Indictment Of Hillary Really Coming?

A former US Attorney is quoted today as saying that an indictment of Hillary Clinton for her mishandling of classified information is likely coming in the next 60 days.  The word is that the FBI has put together so much information about Clinton's knowingly storing over 1000 classified documents on her private unsecured email system that the only likely result is an indictment.  Indeed, according to the article, the intelligence services and the FBI would likely revolt if Attorney General Lynch were to decide not to indict Hillary because of political considerations.

It's funny.  My own view is that there is no way that the Obama administration would indict Hillary at this point, and the reason is purely political.  There is no question that a strong case exists against Hillary for criminal misconduct with regard to her private email system.  An indictment against Clinton at this point would nevertheless drive her out of the presidential race.  Unless Obama thinks that he can then push the nomination to Joe Biden, that indictment might result in Bernie Sanders as the Democrat nominee.  Sanders might run well now in the Democrat primary, but he is likely the Democrat easiest for the Republicans to beat.  I recently put the likelihood of a Clinton indictment at no more than 20% for just this reason.

To be fair, I don't think that Hillary will ever be president.  Ultimately, the American people understand that she is a liar and untrustworthy.  I do not believe that we will choose such a person to be our leader.
