Making Up The Problem

The Democrats seem addicted to making up faults and misdeeds of their opponents.  Personally, I think it is the result of their spending decades falsely accusing Republicans of racism, sexism, homophobia, Islamophobia, anti-Semitism and the like.  If you opposed Barack Obama, you were necessarily a racist.  For Democrats (and the media) it was impossible to disagree with Obama on any basis other than racism.  If you opposed Hillary Clinton, you had to be a sexist.  Disliking Hillary for being extremely dishonest and incompetent was actually just based upon her being a woman according to the Dems.  That sort of attack went on and on.  It escalated when Trump won the presidency.  At that point, they made up the lie that Trump was working with the Russians.  There was no proof of that at all, something that the Mueller Report confirmed.  It didn't matter, President Trump must be a Russian agent according to the lie told by the Democrats.  Everyone associated with the President became the target of similar lies.  Justice Kavanaugh became a rapist.  Attorney General Jeff Sessions became another Russian agent.  It just got crazier and crazier.

Now, Attorney General Barr is being called a liar who only cares about protecting Trump rather than doing his job.  Now I watched (in part) Barr testify today before Congress.  He was attacked left and right by the Dems; he was called a liar repeatedly.  But what was the lie that Barr supposedly told?  There was none.  Barr calmly answered all the questions and shot down the nonsense of the Democrats.  But it didn't matter.  The Democrats are so addicted to these lies that they have started to call on Barr to resign.  Really.  Tonight, Joe Biden jumped aboard the movement. Biden called upon Barr to resign for something that didn't happen.  Shouldn't Biden at least be enough of a leader to learn the facts and to be honest about them instead of just going with the lies?

It's sad that our country has sunk to this level of non-stop lying in attempts to destroy political opponents.  Politicians always stretch the truth; we all get that.  Leveling dishonest attacks at opponents on a non-stop basis is going to undermine our democracy, though.  It has to stop.
