Choosing The Proper Focus

Here are a few recent events in the Middle East:

1.  Hamas is reportedly systematically killing the workers it had hired to build the tunnel network that was destroyed in the recent fighting.  Hamas believes that some of these workers cooperated with Israel in disclosing the locations of the tunnels so that they could be blown up.  In order to be sure that they have "plugged the leak", Hamas is just killing all the workers.  To make matters worse, a majority of the tunnel workers were children.

2.  In the areas recently conquered by ISIS, the victorious terrorists have gathered up women of the Yazidi sect under 35 to be sex slaves for the army.  The Yazidi men have been beheaded, crucified or buried alive.

3.  ISIS has also surrounded tens of thousands of Yazidi and Christian refugees and forced them to hide on a mountain without food, water or shelter.  American forces are dropping relief supplies, but according to the media, scores have been dying each day from lack of water.

4.  ISIS is threatening to blow up the Mosul dam and send a wall of water sixty three feet high down the river valley below the dam.  Should this happen, the death toll will necessarily be in the tens of thousands or higher.

5.  In Syria, the Assad forces who are fighting, among others, ISIS, have once again been using chlorine gas on neighborhoods where their opponents are located.  Hundreds of civilians have been sickened or killed by the gas.

6.  In Lebanon, there have been multiple bombings of civilian targets as one group or another tries to take control of the country.

7.  Recently in Jerusalem, a Palestinian stole a piece of construction equipment and used it to attack and flip over a bus.  Fortunately, the bus had no riders other than the driver, but it landed on a pedestrian who was killed.

8.  Hamas fired 3500 rockets indiscriminately into Israel.  Fortunately the Israeli anti-missile defenses protected Israeli cities from disaster.

9.  Israeli forces fired back at the launch sites for the rockets from Gaza.  Israeli planes also bombed the launch sites for the rockets and the military headquarters of Hamas from which the attacks on Israel were planned and controlled.  Hamas refused to allow civilians to be evacuated from these sites and even had some additional civilians come to these sites to act as human shields.

So which of these is a "war crime"?  why?
