Maureen Dowd, or Modo as she is known, is always nasty. She spent the entire eight years of the Bush administration deriding and denouncing the president and his people with no let up. Then came the age of Obama, and Modo changed. She was part of the media support group that protected Obama from harsh coverage and harsh realities. Still, Modo, being Modo, could not change. Her inner nastiness came through, and she once again began to criticize the president. Now, she seems to be shifting targets once again. The latest target is Hillary Clinton. In a column that has some kind words for Robin Williams but trashes Hillary and Obama, Modo puts the wood to Mrs. Clinton in a major way. The subject, of course, is Hillary's crazy attempt to disassociate herself and criticize the Obama foreign policy during the time Hillary was Secretary of State. One has to wonder what's next. Will Pope Francis try to disassociate himself from Catholic dogma? Will Vladimir Putin give back Crimea to Ukraine? We will have to wait and see.
