Yesterday, I wrote about how Egyptian sources were telling the media that Hamas had agreed to a futher ceasefire. That turned out not to be correct. This morning, however, we now have other media reporting yet another supposed agreement by the Palestinians to a cease fire. The reports are unclear whether the "Palestinians" means the people from the Palestinian Authority or Hamas. Hamas is part of the PA, but they remain two very different groups. The Israelis still refuse to negotiate until the rocket fire at Israel stops, and that has not happened. So once again, it is less than clear what is going to happen, but there still seems to be a strong possibility that at some time soon, the fighting in Gaza will finally end.
