It Must Not Have Been Much of a Hug

Supposedly, president Obama and Hillary Clinton have made up over their dust up on Syria policy.  Last night, on Martha's Vineyard where both are vacationing, the two supposedly hugged when they saw each other a local party for bigwigs.  We know that Hillary started this mess when she told The Atlantic that she fought Obama on Syria policy for years and then she proceeded to take some rather nasty swipes at the Obama policy.  No sane person could believe anything Hillary said about Syria since during all those years when she was secretary of state, she stayed quiet about the dispute.  The Obama forces shot back at Hillary with the president himself using an expletive to describe her criticism and other members of core Obama denouncing Hillary and pointing out her hypocrisy.  The hug last night was supposed to be Hillary's capitulation to Obama.

But some things never change.  One is that the Clintons never give up and are never forthright.  That brings me to today's article in the Daily Beast by Josh Rogin which "recounts" Hillary's supposed valiant struggle against all those limitations that Obama put in place regarding American policy in Syria.  For three years, no one hears anything about this supposedly epic battle, and over 200,000 people die in the Syrian civil war.  Then Hillary decides to reposition herself to avoid blame for Syria and ISIS and now the leaks and stories start coming down the mountain like an avalanche.  For Hillary, it's just too good to be true.  Of course, that's because it isn't true.  Hillary and Obama both own America's botched policy towards Syria.  Hillary and Obama both get major credit for creating the monster that is ISIS.  No lie is going to change this.  Hillary was not fighting valiantly to change our policy; she was carrying out the policy that she helped design.

Look, Hillary and Obama are the duo that decided to blame the Benghazi terror attack on a ridiculous youtube video when they knew that was false.  I guess Hillary figures it's worth trying something just as dishonest to remake history regarding Syria.  Don't believe it.
