Here is a list of items that get no attention from the public. They are scandals that were stonewalled by the Obama White House with help from the media. Today, they are so far back in the public consciousness that it seems fair to say that president Obama has won by stonewalling. Sadly, America has lost as a result.
1. The Justice Department went through all the phone records and other electronic files of the Associated Press reporters in Washington. It was a gross violation of the Fourth amendment right against improper searches and the First Amendment right for freedom of the press. There were no consequences.
2. Fox reporter James Rosen was knowingly falsely labeled a criminal conspirator by Attorney General Eric Holder in a filing with a federal court so that the Justice Department could conduct surveillance on Rosen, his family, his colleagues and others. Holder then directly lied to Congress about this. The House voted to hold Holder in contempt, but there were no real consequences for this action.
3. In Benghazi, the American ambassador and others complained about the inadequate security in the two months before the terrorist attack there two years ago. Not only was security not increased, but Hillary Clinton's State Department ordered security reduced. When the attack came, no defense was available and four people were killed. No one has been fired or even disciplined for this complete lapse of judgment.
4. When Benghazi was attacked by al Nusra (the local branch of al Qaeda), the White House and State Department knew who was responsible within five hours of the attack commencing. Despite this, president Obama, secretary Clinton and other White House representatives told the American people that this was a spontaneous riot in response to a youtube video. The lie continued to be told for weeks in order to avoid embarrassment for Obama in the campaign. No one has been fired or disciplined for this blatant lie told to the American people.
5. The IRS spent years targeting conservatives and Christian groups because of their political views. The conduct of the IRS in this regard was completely illegal. Obama first said he was outraged and would get to the bottom of the scandal. A few months later, after taking no action, Obama announced that this was a phony scandal. The IRS employee in charge of much of this effort, Lois Lerner, has retired. No one has been fired or disciplined for this illegal conduct.
6. The IRS gave out confidential information about the tax returns and status of certain conservative groups. This is criminal behavior. No one has been fired or disciplined for this illegal conduct.
7. President Obama announced a "red line" in Syria for the use of chemical weapons. The Assad forces used chemical weapons 16 times with no response from Obama. When the Assad forces used the chemicals for a 17th time with over 1000 dead, some of the people on the ground were able to take video of the attack and the terrible aftermath. Since the video made its way to American TV screens, Obama decided to take action. Even so, all that Obama did was to make an agreement with Assad and Russia that the Syrians would turn over for destruction all the chemical weapons which they admitted owning. Since then, Syria has been free to manufacture new weapons or to use the chemicals that it hid at the time of the agreement. Also, Assad has been using chlorine gas (as was done in World War I) since that was not on the list of chemicals covered by the first agreement. Obama has done nothing.
8. The Veterans' Administration hospital system was revealed to have a systemic problem in which it kept phony records to make it look like vets were receiving prompt treatment when the reality was that many vets actually died while awaiting treatment. The Secretary of Veterans' Affairs resigned and has been replaced. No one has been fired, however. No one at the VA has been disciplined.
9. The website for the Obamacare exchange cost almost a billion dollars in federal funds. For the first few months it was in operation, the site did not function even on a minimal level. Today, almost one year after the site went live, it is still not complete since the "back end" has not been built. The contractor for the website has been replaced, and the Secretary of HHS retired. No one has been fired for this incompetence. No one has been disciplined. No one is even reporting whether or not the site will be completed for this year's open enrollment period.
10. President Obama and many prominent Democrats knowingly lied to the American people about being able to keep their insurance policies and doctors under Obamacare. No one has ever explained why those lies were told. It may be that the November elections will see the end of the careers of some of the liars, but we will have to see.

In the first years of the Obama administration, the White House and the Department of Justice green lighted a program called Fast and Furious that resulted in 2000 assault weapons being sold by American dealers to Mexican drug cartels. To date, more than 100 murders in the USA and Mexico have been tied to these weapons. No one has been fired or disciplined for approving this insane operation.
