The Constitution....What Difference Does it Make?

The New York Times is reporting that president Obama is planning to have the USA enter into an international agreement on climate change that will not need approval by the Senate in accordance with the Constitution.  It is a staggering move by Obama.  Already, the president has gone way beyond his constitutional power with regard to making law.  He unilaterally claimed the right to amend the Obamacare statute and to change the nation's immigration laws, among others.  Now he wants the right to make a treaty that will bind the USA without having it pass the Senate.  What will he do next?  Will Obama declare that the 2016 election is unnecessary and that he will just stay in office?  Will he tell the nation that he will be followed in office by his elder daughter when she turns 25?  What really is left of the Constitution in the view of this man?

America has survived all manner of terrible problems in the last two and a half centuries because our structure of government was fixed in the Constitution, a document that has enabled the best of this country to come to the fore.  Now Obama seems to want to destroy all that.

The time has come for prominent Democrats to step forward to condemn this move or to be considered complicit in this attack on the very foundation of the nation.  We Americans need to demand our congressmen, senators and governors take action to prevent the destruction of the Constitution.

I realize that what I am saying sounds alarmist.  That is because I am truly alarmed.  America is too important to be destroyed by the lunatic moves of a narcissist who actually thinks that he is more important than the basic concept of our republic.
