Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel gave the following description of ISIS today to reporters according to AFP:

This is not a surprise. We have known this for many months, at least since ISIS took Ramadi and Fallujah in Iraq. We most likely knew this for many months before that as well. So here are the key questions:
WHERE WAS OBAMA FOR THE LAST SIX MONTHS???
HOW COME HE DID NOTHING TO STOP THE THREAT FROM ISIS??
The answer is that Obama apparently could not be bothered to take the time to consider a major threat to America. He was too busy going to fund raisers and playing golf. And then there were those vacations; they really take a lot of time. It's not just the time on vacation; you also have to pack and plan where to go, etc. There really was just not enough time to consider the well being and safety of the republic.
The Islamic State (ISIS) is more than a traditional terrorist group and better armed, trained and funded than any recent threat. They marry ideology and a sophistication of strategic and tactical military prowess. They are tremendously well funded. This is beyond anything we have seen.
