Good News

I got some complaints recently that my posts are too focused on the negative.  It's hard not to do that given the state of the world and the USA.  Nevertheless, here are a few bits of good news that deserve mention:

1.  During the recent fighting in Gaza, Iran attempted a massive cyber attack on Israeli civilian and military computer networks but was wholly unsuccessful.  It is worth noting that had the attack been a success, civilian casualties in Gaza would have been much higher.

2.  As I write this, Russia has not invaded Ukraine.  So far, so good.

3.  While the growth of the American economy has been limited, at least we have on the whole stagnant growth rather than a continuation of the contraction of the first quarter.

4.  There are only two years, five months and three days until Barack Obama leaves office.  That day will bring the best news of all.  I cannot imagine anyone worse taking his place.
