Which One Was It?

I have not written much about the riots in Missouri because we still don't know the facts about the death that led to all that upset.  It is not that I have avoided reading the news reports; it is rather that none of the reporters know the facts either.  I many respects, the shooting story is a lot like the disappearance of the Malaysian Airlines plane last February; we know a few facts and the media spends hours not only reporting those facts, but also creating all sorts of rumors and speculations that have no demonstrable basis in fact.

There are some questions which necessarily must be asked, nevertheless.

1.  Which of the businesses looted was responsible for the shooting death?

2.  Which of the businesses looted engaged in racist behavior?

3.  Which of the businesses looted had anything whatsoever to do with the shooting aside from being located in the town where it took place?

4.  What sort of person believes that even an intentional shooting of an innocent and unarmed man by the police give them license to loot and destroy the businesses of innocent and uninvolved people.  In other words, why would a police shooting give rise to attacks on people who committed no crimes and who help support the very community that is now attacking them?
