I know that there is a lot going on in the world today. Nevertheless, there is a major story which has gotten almost no coverage. The leadership of Hamas now acknowledges that Hamas was responsible for the kidnapping and murder of three Israeli teens, a terrorist outrage that began all of the recent fighting. When the kidnapping first occurred, Israel said that Hamas was responsible, but Hamas denied involvement although it celebrated the kidnapping. The latest news is the first time that Hamas has said that it was responsible. Here is how a top Hamas leader Saleh al-Arouri put it:
"The popular will was exercised throughout our occupied land, and culminated in the heroic operation by the Qassam Brigades in imprisoning the three settlers in Hebron."
The Qassam Brigades are Hamas' military group.
It figures that a terrorist thug from Hamas would describe kidnapping three boys and then murdering them as a "heroic operation". This sort of outlook is the same as the ISIS fighters who call taking unarmed Yazidi men and burying them alive in Iraq a "great victory". The truth is that the Islamic terrorists are morally depraved cowards. They win their "victories" by killing innocents who cannot fight back.
Last night, the Israelis also struck a house in Gaza and killed three of the top Hamas military leaders. Too bad it wasn't more.
