Let me make a prediction: two years from now there will be at least 10% fewer jobs in Ferguson, Missouri, there will be at least 5% fewer residents in that town and the local budget will be under severe stress. Think about it. What business owner in his or her right mind would locate a new location in Ferguson? For at least a decade, Ferguson is going to be that place with the terrible race relations and riots. After that, it will still carry a stigma, but it will decrease over time. Had there been peaceful protests to the shooting instead of mass looting and rioting, there would have been no real lasting economic damage. The violence, however, has destroyed the future of the town. It is like watching Feguson commit suicide.
