Every day, the web site Real Clear Politics links to about ten key articles concerning politics in that day's media. Today, I was struck by just how bad things are going for president Obama and the Obamacrats. Here are two articles that caught my eye:
1. "Obama Stronger on Terror Than He Sounds" at Bloomberg.
2. "Obama Foreign Policy Better Than It Looks" by E.J. Dionne at the Washington Post.
So the liberal media has now been reduced to recognizing that what Obama has been doing looks and sounds truly awful, but they now argue that it's really not all that bad. It's like the attorney who argues to a jury that while his client may look guilty of first degree murder, it is really only second degree. The left recognizes that nearly everyone in America now sees the epic failure of the Obama policies. They no longer argue that the policies are good. Instead, the new argument is that they are not really as bad as they seem.
My guess is that this effort to put a happy face on a clear tragedy will soon lead to articles about how the ISIS takeover of much of Iraq and Syria is bringing benefits to some of the locals (at least those who are not executed.) Maybe we will also see some pieces on the joys and benefits of unemployment.
