Is Obama Arming ISIS?

ISIS is the jihadist group of Sunni Moslem terrorists that is in the process of bringing down the government of Iraq.  For over a year, ISIS has been the largest component of the rebel forces in Syria fighting the Assad regime.  At first, the more moderate Sunnis were in control of the rebel forces, but ISIS was better funded and better armed and quite quickly the rebels became more and more under the direction of this terror group.  In 2014, ISIS has been moving forces into Iraq and it now controls about one third of the territory of that country.  Indeed, it is the threat from ISIS to bring down the Baghdad government that has led the Obama administration to send 300 American advisers to Iraq to help the Iraqi army.

So how can I ask if president Obama is arming ISIS?  ISIS is the mortal enemy of the USA.  It is unthinkable that America would send arms to the ISIS troops.  But that seems to be what Obama is about to do.  He has proposed spending half a billion dollars immediately to arm and train what are described as "moderate" rebels in Syria.  Is he kidding?  There are hardly any moderate forces left in Syria.  They could have been strengthened had Obama decided to move forward with assistance two years ago, but they withered away as the only rebel forces getting outside support was ISIS.  If Obama sends weapons to "moderates", those weapons will quickly fall into the hands of ISIS and then they will be used against the Iraqi government.

Isn't it time we had a leader in America who could look at least a few months ahead to see how his actions will impact the future?  Is it possible that Obama, Kerry, Hagel and Rice are really all so clueless that they think this strategy of arming the non-existent moderates will work?  What's next?  Will Obama send Kerry to Teheran to agree to give Iran 100 nuclear weapons so long as Iran promises not to make any others on its own?  I know that is an idiotic suggestion, but it sounds about par for the course.
