I have been writing about the lies coming from president Obama and his administration for many years. At first, it seemed like only a few were hearing the same false statements that I was; things would get said by Obama or his spokesman that were clearly false and the media and the public would give him a pass. Much of the 2012 election was fought on a battlefield strewn with falsehoods created by the Obamacrats. My own daughter told me at the time that the Republicans wanted to take birth control away from women; that claim was ridiculous. Nevertheless, the lies from Obama and the Obamacrats worked.
It now seems that the days of Obama and his people telling lies without consequences are truly ending. The beginning of the end came with that old favorite told by Obama: "If you like your policy, you can keep your policy. Period. If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor. Period!" All America came to understand that this claim was untrue when Obama first said it and it remained untrue as something like eight million people lost their policies and millions more lost their doctors. Since then, much of the defense of the Obama lies has been crumbling.
It has been in the last few days, however, that the lies of the administration have truly collapsed. It is not that the Obamacrats have stopped trying to tell lies; that has not happened. What has happened, however, is much, much more significant. The American people are recognizing the lies.
The best evidence of this awakening is a poll released tonight. In this latest poll taken for Fox News, Americans said by a majority of 76% to 12% that the loss of Lois Lerner's emails at the IRS was not an accident as the IRS and the rest of the Obamacrats claim. It is almost inconceivable that there could be a majority that large concluding that the government is telling lies on the subject. Even better, two thirds of the Democrats polled said that the government is telling lies. There is also an overwhelming majority of the public -- including Republicans, Independents and Democrats -- that want the investigation into the IRS conduct continued until the truth is uncovered and those responsible are punished. America is paying attention and America now knows that the Obamacrats are trying to get by with lies, lies and more lies.
