Two Very Interesting Moves Regarding the IRS

In the last two days, there have been two important, but little noticed developments regarding the IRS scandals.

First, the IRS settled a lawsuit brought by the National Organization for Marriage.  The IRS now admits that it illegally gave lists of those who contributed to the National Organization for Marriage to the organization's political opponents.  Those opponents just "happened" to be liberal activists.  (Those activists took the Fifth when questioned about the entire matter.)  The IRS claims that the illegal release of the confidential information filed by the taxpayer was inadvertent, and, with the settlement, we will never get to have a court decide if that claim has any basis in fact.  Nevertheless, the IRS admits wrongdoing and is paying cash to the National Organization for Marriage for this illegal conduct.  This is another area of admitted wrongdoing by the IRS to attack conservatives.

Second, the ubiquitous Clintonista Lanny Davis said that he thinks it is time for there to be a special prosecutor appointed to look into the IRS mess.  There is no way that Davis would say such a thing absent prior approval from the Clintons.  This is a sure sign that Bill and Hillary are putting distance between themselves and Obama.  It is also some major proof that the Clintons really are about to declare war on Obama.  It may be a guerilla campaign for quite some time to come, but it is war nevertheless.
