Planning Then Doing

I want you to consider this question:

What is president Obama's plan for dealing with a) the avalanche of children crossing the border illegally from Mexico, b) the major advance by the Sunni terrorists in Iraq that threatens the defeat of the current Iraqi government, c) the stagnant American economy, and d) the failure of the VA to provide timely medical services to vets, including those with life-threatening conditions?

This is not a trick question.  Indeed, the answer to this question tells us a great deal about the type of man we now have in the Oval Office.  Each of these four issues is of vast importance to the USA and our future.  Each one merits strong attention from the administration.  After all, of all recent presidents, Obama is probably the strongest supporter for government action as the answer to any problem.  So what is the action that Obama says is appropriate in response to each of these enormous problems?

The sad truth is that Obama has no plan to deal with any of these problems.  Current estimates are that over 120,000 unaccompanied children, including many as young as three years old, will end up in the custody of the border patrol during 2014.  What is to happen with them?  Is it too much to ask that the president tell us what he proposes to do?  Iraq, where thousands of Americans gave their lives or their health to bring freedom and peace, is on the verge of becoming another failed state ruled by Taliban like terrorists.  Obama says America will do everything that it can to prevent that.  Two minutes later, his staff says we won't send troops.  Shouldn't the USA know what Obama intends to do (assuming that Obama himself has some idea what to do)?  The World Bank just made a major reduction of estimated growth of the American economy for 2014.  Last quarter we had a contraction in GDP.  We have not had a robust economy at any time since Obama took office.  Aren't we all entitled to have a leader who at least tries to improve the economy?  Hundreds of thousands of veterans who were promised medical care by the government have been left to languish on secret lists without care for months or years.  The practice is so widespread through the system that there is no way it was not directed from Washington.  Things like this do not just spring up in dozens and dozens of hospitals across the country by chance.  America promised care to these veterans.  How does Obama plan to deliver on that promise?

The reality is that there is an empty chair in the Oval Office where a president should sit.  We have a guy who sits there n
