Hard To Imagine

The latest Reuters-Ipsos poll is out today reporting on president Obama's job approval.  Obama's numbers are dismal.  He is at 40% approval and 51% disapproval.  The amazing thing, however, is the results among independents.  For that group, Obama's approval stands at 24% while 68% disapprove.  As one would expect, Obama gets high marks from Democrats and low marks from Republicans.  It is the complete collapse among the independents that has sent Obama's poll numbers into the toilet.

The key here is that for the first time since he was elected, Obama is polling worse that the Democrats' policies.  For years, Obama always had a higher level of support than say Obamacare or the Stimulus or the Dream Act.  That is no longer true.  It seems that other than the true believers among the Democrats, the inability of Obama to function well as president has finally been made manifest to Americans.  These folks realize now that Obama is just in over his head.  It is truly too bad that they did not come to this realization last fall before the election.
