Mounting Casualties

As I write this, a battle rages in the Middle East.  Over the last three days alone, more than 450 fighters have died in the battle.  Scores of civilians have been killed as well, and that includes more than 100 who were executed by the invading forces.  The biggest prize in this battle will be control of a large natural gas field which will produce billions of dollars worth of energy each year for many, many to come.  And where is this battle taking place?  In Syria, of course.  The forces of ISIS captured the Shaar natural gas field from the Assad regime, and the Assad forces are now counterattacking to try to regain control of this vital resource.  Once ISIS captured the field, it rounded up and executed as many of the employees of the regime who were operating the field as it could find.

So let's be clear.  In the last three days, many times more people have died in this battle in Syria as have died in the battle now raging in Gaza.  There have been civilian casualties in Gaza, but literally hundreds of civilians were intentionally murdered by ISIS in Syria.  Why is it that the media only covers Gaza?  Why is it that there are no marches in Europe about Syria?  Why does the world not care about Moslem civilians if they are killed by other Moslems while it has a seemingly non-stop focus on other Moslem civilians who live in Gaza?  It may sound odd to say this, but the terrorists from ISIS make the men of Hamas look rather tame.  Sure, Hamas is sending missiles to kill civilians in Israel in indiscriminate fashion, but ISIS is actually rounding up and murdering civilians after they have won control of an area.  So, once again, why is there no real media coverage of this slaughter in Syria?
